Christoffersen for Royal Copenhagen Ceramic Bust - Helge Christoffersen (Danish, 1925-1965) for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Large ceramic bust sculpture depicting a young girl in a holding a bouquet of flowers with a squirrel on her shoulder, ca. 1940. A unique piece in a rich flambe glaze. Incised initial and and Royal Copenhagen wave-form mark along the underside. Height: 15 in x width: 10 3/4 in x depth: 7 3/4 in. Condition: There are no chips, losses, or restorations. There is a small crack along the back of the figure's neck, likely original to the artistic process. Light wear to the footrim. Some light dust gathered in the recessed areas. Crazing to the glaze throughout.
