2 Anna-Lisa Thomson for Upsala-Ekeby Ceramics - Anna-Lisa Thomson (Swedish, 1905-1952) for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden. Group of two ceramic items including a large model no. 1041 bowl from Thomson's ”Athene” series, a rare and important line for UE, and a model no. 1070 decorative dish or plate from Thomson's ”Spectra” series for UE, ca. 1950. Earthenware, the bowl depicting abstract figures amid foliage with grey and white glazes; the plaque depicting fish and marine motifs with vibrant colorful glazes. Incised Upsala-Ekeby maker's mark, initials, and numbered along the underside of each. (Athene Plate) Height: 2 1/2 in x diameter: 15 in.
