Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg Ceramic Bottle Vase - Stig Lindberg (Swedish, 1916-1982) for Gustavsberg, Sweden. Ceramic bottle vase, mid-20th century. Stoneware pottery with a coffee bean brown tenmoku glaze and captivating textured sides. The vase is of a gentle, block-like form - a classic and favored form of Lindberg's. Incised signature and Gustavsberg maker's mark along the underside. Stig Lindberg is one of the most celebrated figures of illustrious 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. Renowned for his continuous creativity and remarkable eye for shapes, proportions, and patterns, Larson worked at the Gustavsberg factory from 1937 to 1980. His work is represented in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Height: 8 1/4 in x width: 2 1/4 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations.
