Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg Post-Modern Vase - Stig Lindberg (Swedish, 1916-1982) for Gustavsberg, Sweden. An unusual, post-modern ceramic vase. Stoneware pottery with a dark brown high glaze. Carved Gustavsberg maker's mark and incised ”Stig L.” in addition to several other esoteric marks and signatures along the underside. Stig Lindberg is one of the most celebrated figures of illustrious 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. Renowned for his continuous creativity and remarkable eye for shapes, proportions, and patterns, Larson worked at the Gustavsberg factory from 1937 to 1980. His work is represented in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Height: 11 1/2 in x diameter: 5 in. Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Light wear to the footrim.
