Stalhane for Designhuset Ceramic Abstract Vase - Carl-Harry Stalhane (Swedish, 1920-1990) for Designhuset, Sweden. Abstract ceramic post-modern sculptural vase, ca. 1970. Stoneware pottery featuring a variety of textures with several glazes of blue, indigo, and white colors. Initialed ”Ch-Se” along the underside. Carl-Harry Stalhane is one of the most celebrated figures of 20th-century Swedish ceramic design. He is best known for his role as the artistic leader at Rorstrand during the 1960s. His name has become synonymous with exceptional ceramic quality, stunning creative design, and outstanding craftsmanship. Stalhane's work is represented in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Height: 8 in x width: 6 in x depth: 3 in. Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Light wear to the footrim. Four spots of accretions along the underside corresponding to four - now lost - tabs.
