Grp 20 Misc. 20th c. Chinese Bank Notes & Coins - Group of 20 assorted pieces of Chinese currency including paper bank notes, dollars, and coins, dates ranging from Qing dynasty to Republic period. This lot includes: eight five-dollar paper bank notes from The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, three large silver dollar coins, four medium sized bronze or brass coins, and five small coins that are possibly brass. (Bank notes) height: 3 1/4 in x length: 5 1/2 in. (Coins) diameter ranges from 16.52 mm to 39.71 mm. Condition: The bank notes are toned. There are creases and handling marks throughout consistent with age and use. Some chips along the corners and extreme edges. There is tarnishing throughout the coins, particularly along the smaller and medium sized coins, consistent with age.
