Verified authentic by a company of members of the American School of Classical Studies touring the Aegean including Gisela Richter, Mary Swindler, and Gorham Phillips Steven. Provenance: Acquired in Athens in 1936; Stanton L. Catlin, former director of the Center for Inter-American Relations; thence by descent. Height: 5 in x width: 2 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: No major chips, cracks, or repairs. Losses to the top layer of clay throughout. The finer carved details have been lost. Wear throughout consistent with age.
