20th c. Clewell Pottery Copper-Clad Ceramic Pot - Charles Walter Clewell (American, 1876-1965) for Clewell Pottery, United States. Copper-clad studio ceramic jardiniere vase vessel or cachepot pot glazed with a lovely verdigris patina gradient. Incised ”Clewell” and numbered ”419-2-6” along the underside. Height: 5 1/2 in x diameter: 6 1/4 in. Condition: There are no major chips or restorations. Four hairline cracks: three running upwards from the footrim and one running horizontally along the body. Wear to the interior from use. Wear to the footrim.
