19th c. Shenandoah Valley Virginia Ceramic Pitcher - Large ceramic pottery pitcher, Shenandoah Valley of Strasburg, Virginia, ca. 1850. Stoneware with a glossy honey glaze and navy blue marbled throughout. Combed along the shoulder of the vessel and with an applied handle. Height: 9 1/2 in x width: 7 1/2 in x diameter: 6 1/2 in. Condition: Chips throughout the footrim. Crazing to the glaze. Some light scuffs to the body of the jug. No evident repairs.
