19th c. Kyser & Rex ”Organ” Mechanical Bank - Kyser and Rex, United States. Cast iron and pigment ”Organ” mechanical bank, ca. 1882. With a monkey flanked by two dancing figures atop the bank. To operate the bank, a coin is placed on the monkey's tambourine, then the handle along the left side of the bank is cranked, and a bell is chimed as the monkey is set in motion and the coin is deposited into the bank. Height: 7 1/2 in x width: 6 in x depth: 3 1/2 in. Condition: The colors have faded and are missing in some areas. Key not included. The crank moves and works well. Some tarnishing or discoloration to the metal. Inside of the bank has not been inspected.
