Signed along the lower left. Aspevig is inspired by the landscapes of Montana and Wyoming. Growing up near the Canadian border in Montana, he was geographically and culturally isolated from the world, which he considers a blessing According to the artist ”Because I grew up in a vacuum in Montana, I wasn't taught the cliches.” In addition to this, he found support in his family; his father bought his first painting at the age of twelve.
