Chinese 19th c. Champleve Incense Burner - Late 19th century Chinese champleve enamel cloisonne incense burner with a foo dog finial and enamel designs depicting figures, scrollwork, flowers, and buildings along the surface of the edges. Height: 16 in x width: 11 in x depth: 8 1/2 in. Condition: No major dents. One possible repair along the lid, where the flat upper surface meets the sides or outward-facing edges of the lid. Tarnishing throughout. The colors are somewhat muted. Pitting and some small losses to the enamel. The finial is somewhat loose. Wear throughout consistent with age and use.
