Large Pale Chinese Scholar's Rock With Wood Stand - Large Chinese scholar's rock of a waxy pale, beige hue, possibly taihu rock. Of an irregular obelisk shape and highly textured surface. There are many recessed crevices, hollows, and caverns throughout. With a scrollwork carved lacquer wooden stand atop four chow feet. (Including stand) height: 23 in x width: 9 in x depth: 7 in. Weight: 24 lbs 8 oz. Condition: Due to the nature of the material it is difficult to discern if there are any losses. No apparent issues. Some light dust/debris in the recessed areas of the stone. The rock is affixed to the wooden stand and has not been inspected off of the stand. Light wear to the stand.
