19th c. Chinese Wooden Seal Box
Late 18th to early 19th century Chinese wooden seal box. Two sides with calligraphy and two sides with landscapes.
Height: 11 in x width: 11 in x depth: 11 in.
Condition: There are no major losses to the gilt details along the exterior. Wear throughout, including scratches and flaking to the lacquer and small chips, particularly along corners. Wear to the lacquer is more significant along points of contact, such as where the lid meets the base of the box in addition to the footrim. There is a large split to the wood along the interior which is only visible when the lid is removed from the box. Wear along the feet and the underside. Dust and debris gathered throughout.
