Kiyoshi Saito ”Recollection” Woodblock Print 1960 - Kiyoshi Saito (Japanese, 1907-1997). Japanese woodblock print titled ”Recollection” depicting a portrait of a person, half in shadow and half in the light, 1960. Signed in print along the lower right of the image; pencil titled, dated, and numbered 85/100 along the lower center of the margin. Height: 24 in x width: 18 in. Condition: There are no visible tears, creases, or losses. There is toning throughout, in particular along the lower half of the sheet. There is foxing throughout, especially along the lower margin and lower right corner. There is a faint rectangle of adhesive accretion along edge of the center top and bottom margins, each measuring approximately 5 inches. There is a minute tear along the center of the bottom margin. There are no signs of restoration under UV light.
