Chinese Carved Soapstone Landscape Sculpture - Chinese carved soapstone landscape sculpture or vase. Finely carved with russet inclusions in the form of autumnal trees. Incised characters throughout. The top is hollowed out to allow for use as a vessel. Height: 12 in x width: 8 in x depth: 6 1/2 in. Weight: 6,548.74 grams. Condition: There is a small loss along the lower right edge of the russet inclusion. No other large or noticeable losses; due to the nature of the material there are some areas with natural variation which are hard to determine if they are minute losses or original to the artistic process. Some light wear to the underside; there are four felt tabs affixed to the underside.
