Maria Martinez & Popovi Da Blackware Plate - Maria Martinez (San Ildefonso Pueblo, 1887-1980) and her son, Popovi Da (Antonio Martinez) (San Ildefonso Pueblo, 1923-1971). Blackware ceramic plate with feather motifs. Signed ”Martinez” and ”Popovi” along the underside. Provenance: From the distinguished collection of the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN - proceeds from this sale will benefit their mission. Height: 2 in x diameter: 11 3/4 in. Condition: There are no major chips or losses. There is a thin crack running from the rim towards the footrim (2-3 inches in length). Light wear throughout including some light scratches and scuffing. A partial label is affixed along the underside.
