Uichi Shimizu Japanese Studio Pottery Vessel - Uichi Shimizu (Japanese, 1926-2004). Studio ceramic pottery vessel with a lid. Celadon glazed stoneware with lobed form. Stamped along the underside. With a wooden box and a sheet containing information pertaining to the artist. Height: 8 1/4 in x diameter: 6 in. Condition: No major chips or losses. There are three hairline cracks running up the footrim (1/8 inch long) that have healed over during the firing process. Lid is in good condition with no cracks, chips, or losses.
