19th c. Chinese Silk Embroidered Dragon Robe - 19th century Chinese silk embroidered dragon robe with a blue ground. Embroidered with nine five-clawed dragons, one along the inner flap, chasing flaming pearls among scrolling clouds. Length: 53 in x sleeve: 24 in x chest: 20 in. Condition: There are areas of fraying embroidery throughout. Several small tears. There are large tears and loose threads on the sleeve cuffs. There are a few areas with small losses to the embroidery. Some staining, mostly along the sleeves.
