Chinese Carved Jade Vessel w/ Phoenix & Bamboo - Chinese jade vessel carved along one side with a phoenix and the other side with bamboo. With two applied mask-form handles, each with three links of carved jade chain. With a carved lid and and additional handle that is not attached. Likely Qing or earlier. Carved of a blue-green jade. (With Lid) Height: 5 1/2 in x width: 4 in x depth: 2 in. Gross weight: 593.4 grams. Condition: There is evidence of small restorations. Missing a piece along the lid. Wear throughout including some accretions gathered in the recessed areas of the work. Some small chips along the edges, especially the footrim and lip of the lid.
