Chinese Jiaqing Blue & White Dragon Dish
Chinese Jiaqing blue and white porcelain 'dragon' dish. Thinly molded with a gently flared rim. The interior painted with a five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl surrounded by flames. The exterior walls encircled with two dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl. The underside with a six-character mark.
Provenance: Collection of Mrs. H. Hamilton; Dr. Stephen Case, acquired from former in the 1970s; Bonhams San Francisco, 9 October 2013, Lot 3277; Private collection, Maryland; Bonhams New York, 19 September 2022, Lot 330; Private collection, Minnesota.
Height: 1 1/2 in x diameter: 6 1/2 in.
Condition: There are no chips, cracks, losses, or visible restorations. The colors are bold and bright. Extremely minimal wear to the footrim.
