7 Transferware Rice Plates Dragons - Bell & Regout
Group of seven transferware earthenware rice plates featuring dragons. Six J. & M.P. Bell Co., Ltd. (Bells, Plate, and Johore), Glasgow plates in the following patterns: two "Ikan China, " two "Dragon, " and two "Celebus." There is one Petrus Regout Maastricht Visch plate. One brown plate, three red plates, and three red and green plates. All marked along the underside.
Diameter ranges from 8 3/4 in to 10 in.
Condition: The plates are in fair condition with no major chips, cracks, or losses. All items have crazing, wear, and discoloration throughout; some colorations are faded as expected from their age and use. The plate, captured lower right, with fu dog koi has a minute loss to the surface. The plate, lower center, has a sticker to its underside. The plate, top center, has a minute chip to the footrim. The plate lower left with blue border has a sticker adhered to the underside. As shown in the listing, wear and discoloration to the underside, consistent with age and use.
