Likely Archaic Chinese Carved Jadeite Bi - Likely archaic large Chinese carved jadeite bi. Smooth polish throughout. Of an opaque mottled green and russet coloration. Polish, form, and patina all strongly suggest archaic dating. Provenance: Private Minneapolis Collection - collected in China prior to 1985. Diameter: 5 1/2 in x depth: 1/4 in. Weight: 404.9 grams. Condition: No major cracks, losses, or restorations. There are a few minor chips along the edges, only noticeable upon close inspection.
