Late 19th c. Chinese Jade Carving of a Boy - Fine Chinese jade carving depicting a boy holding a flower, late 19th century. Carved of a translucent light celadon that fades into a light brown towards the bottom. Incised lines throughout. Minute spots of inclusion throughout, especially on the head. Provenance: Private Minneapolis Collection - collected in China prior to 1985. Height: 2 in x width: 1 1/2 in x depth: 3/4 in. Weight: 23.29 grams. Condition: There are a couple of chips along the backs of the arms and minute scratches along the front on the garment. Very light wear throughout. There are some accretions throughout, mainly along the folds of the garment and the neck. There is a sticker affixed to the underside of the feet.
