Chinese Carved Stone Tiger Form Seal - A Chinese carved seal, likely of soapstone, depicting a large crouching cat or tiger. The underside carved with four characters. A hole for a tassel drilled through the underside of the cat. Provenance: Private Minneapolis Collection - collected in China prior to 1985. Height: 1 1/4 in x width: 1 1/4 in x depth: 1 1/4 in. Weight: 37.78 grams. Condition: Wear throughout consistent with age and use. A few very minute chips along the extreme edges only visible under close inspection.
