Sapphire & Diamond 18k Gold Ring
18k yellow gold ring with blue sapphires and diamonds. Bright polished ring with an oval sapphire center gem surrounded on either side with two rows of sapphires and one row of diamonds, all princess-cut. Marked "18K B" along the inside of the band. Total of 21 sapphires (20 smaller and one larger) and 10 diamonds. With a recent appraisal.
Size: US 7. Gross weight: 9.8 g.
Condition: Largest sapphire: Type II, moderately included. Coloration; medium, strong, very slightly violetish blue. Very good proportions, good finish, and good brilliancy - 50% - 70%. Refractive index reading: 1.77-1.76 (corundum, sapphire), binocular microscope tests reveal a cloud and color zoning, indicating natural origins. Measures 10.05x7.76x4.55 mm (approx.) and 3.02 carats (est.).
Smaller sapphires: medium, strong, and blue coloration, slightly included clarity. Measure 2.00mm, 1.40 carats total.
Diamonds: Good proportions and finish, color grade of G-H, clarity grade of VS2-SI1. Measure 2.00-2.20mm, 0.58 carats total.
