Zhang Pan Hawk Ink on Silk Scroll Painting
Zhang Pan (Chinese, 1812-?). Ink on silk scroll painting depicting a hawk on a pine tree. Inscribed and with the artist's seal in red along the upper left. Further stamped with red seals along the lower right. The huaxin surrounded by a lovely golden silk decorated with scrolling flowers.
Total; length: 66 in x width: 18 in. Huaxin; height: 48 1/2 in x width: 11 in.
Condition: The item is in good condition overall with no visible tears, creases, or losses. There are three black minute accretions to the silk border. The paper is toned and has light foxing and soiling. There is a horizontal mark to the center of the huaxin. Along the left margin of the huaxin, there is a vertical line mark that does not affect the overall work; please see the listing image. No visible sign of restoration under UV light.
