Chinese Double Gourd Cloisonne Snuff Bottle - Marked
Cloisonne enameled snuff bottle in a double gourd form with a gourd design, the vegetable portrayed in green and yellow with leafy vines and spindly tendrils against a blue ground. With four character Qianlong mark along the underside.
Height: 3 in x diameter: 1 1/2 in.
Condition: The snuff bottle is in good condition with no visible dents, cracks, or chips. No visible losses to enamel. There is oxidation visible along the underside, which is expected from its material; wear to the underside, consistent with age and use. There is light oxidation along the interior of the lid. When inspected under UV light, there is no sign of restoration but there is a residue that measures 1/4 inch below the rim, which is only visible under UV light.
