4 Modern Chinese Jade & Serpentine Carvings
Group of four modern Chinese jade and serpentine carvings. Several with finely pierced decoration and one in the form of a cicada.
Height ranges from 2 in to 2 1/2 in; width ranges from 1 1/4 in to 2 1/4 in.
Condition: The carvings are in excellent condition. Only the one that is captured upper left has a minute chip to the tip of one of the leaves; the rest of the carvings do not show any visible chips, dents, or cracks. As shown in the lot listing, the upper left carving has an area that has a color that is distinctively different from the rest, possibly original to the piece. The carving captured lower left shows soiling along the inner side of the carving. None of them show a sign of restoration when inspected under UV light.
