Tiffany Studios Gilt Bronze Venetian Pattern Frame
Tiffany Studios, United States. Gilt bronze "Venetian" pattern picture frame, ca. 1900. From the “Venetian” desk set. Impressed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1682 along the reverse with an intaglio finish.
Provenance: Christie's East, New York, Sale 7573, Lot 809, June 13, 1994; Private Minnesota Collection.
Height: 12 in x width: 9 in.
Condition: The frame is in good condition in general with no major chips, cracks, or dents. Wear and oxidation throughout; dust collected on its surface. There is an adhesive residue that is 1 inch long towards the bottom of the frame. Along the backside, there is a 1/4 inch long dent to the right bottom quadrant.
