Toko Shinoda ”Verdure” Sumi Woodblock Print - Toko Shinoda (Japanese, 1913-2021). Lithograph on paper titled ”Verdure, ” depicting loose abstract Sumi-e brushstrokes and a green square. Pencil signed, titled, and numbered 2/35 along the lower left. Shinoda is best known for her abstract Sumi paintings and prints created by fusing traditional East Asian calligraphy techniques with Abstract Expressionism.
