David Roberts Cathedral Scene Painting
David Roberts (British, 1796-1864). Oil on panel painting depicting an interior scene of a cathedral, with groups of figures praying and walking toward the altar. The scene is dramatically lit by the sunlight angling in from the tall windows along the right side of the composition. Signed along the lower left.
