This Raymer Society Consignment Art Auction includes more than 100 works of fine art. Consigned to the auction are original works by Lester Raymer, including 2 oil paintings, a linocut, a linocut, a crayon resist, and a metal rooster. Also up for auction will be works by Birger Sandzén, including 2 linocuts, and a lithograph. In addition, there will be works by Prairie Print Makers, many Sanzdén students, Kansas and Midwest, national and international artists.

Charles Rogers (1911-1987) "Morning in May" lithograph, pencil signed in lower right, good condition, image size: 7 x 9.5 inches. A painter, art educator, and member of the Prairie Printmaker Society, Charles B Rogers (1911-1987) was known for his airy landscapes of the American West, often with pastel hues executed in oil. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas, and studied at the National Academy of Design; Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas under Birger Sandzen; the California College of Arts and Crafts; and with Dong Kingman and Jay Connaway. From 1947 to 1953, he taught at Lindsborg College, and from 1954 to 1966, he was Manager and Assistant Director of the Huntington Hartford Museum in Los Angeles. Condition: good condition, appears to be small flaw at the base on the tree.
