Cassedy, Edwin Gray, "In Old Virginia" woodcut
Cassedy, Edwin Gray (1885-1950) "In Old Virginia" woodcut, pencil signed loweright, good condition, 4x4.75. Edwin Gray Cassedy worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an illustrator. In 1933 he joined the staff of the Smithsonian Institution Institute's Bureau of Ethnology as a publication illustrator, specializing in maps and landscape scenes. He traveled to Mexico and western U.S. with the Bureau, where he explored prehistoric ruins.
