Copy of Author of the Mareh Rei'ah Likutei Moharan Tanyana, the Divrei Torah of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. The year of printing on the title page is 1809; the place of printing, however, is not noted. [1809 is impossible since Rabbi Nachman of Breslov passed away in 1811 yet here he is mentioned on the title page with the title: ”זלה”ה”]. There is disagreement as to the place of printing of this edition. Rabbi Nosson Zvi Konig (Neveh Tzaddikim, Bnei Brak 1969, p. 41) writes it was printed Lemberg in ca. 1830; Rosenthal (in Yode'a Sefer) claims it was printed in Koretz in 1809 and according to Gershom Scholem, the book was printed in Lemberg or Zholkva in ca. 1850 (Kuntres Eleh Shmot, Jerusalem 1928, p. 14, no. 37). On the title page, signatures and stamps of Rabbi Yonah Zeev Halpert of Makova, the author of the Mareh Rei'ah. Rabbi Yonah Zeev Halpert (d. 1931), was born in Munkatch and was orphaned at a young age. The Gaon Rabbi SAhlomo Shapiro Av Beis Din of Munkatch took him into his home and there he was raised alongside the Minchas Wlazar who was Rabbi Shlomo's grandson. Had vast knowledge of HIlchor Shechita, so much so that his Rav, the Maharid of Belz told him that even Mashi'ach Ben David could eat from his Shechita. It is also told that during a single night, he once recited all the HIlchot Shechita to the author of Arugas Habosem. Was famed for his important cook on HIlchot Shechita - Mareh Rei'ah [1], 29 leaves. Stains. Moth. Poor condition. [1], כט, דף. כתמים, עש. מצב גרוע.
