Lashberin [1857] - Letter Handwritten by the Greatest Disciple of Moron Maharam Benet and the First Disciple of Moron the 'Chasam Sofer', Rabbi Shimon Winner Abd of Lashberin. Lashberin [1857] Rabbi Shimon Winner [1769-1871] Abd of Lashberin and the environs was born in Mattersdorf. A disciple of Rabbi Yissachar Ber Bloch Abd of Mattersdorf, Rabbi Mordechai Benet Abd of Nikolsburg and with the arrival of the ”Chasam Sofer” from Mehrin to Mattersdorf, he was one of his first disciples in Hungary and his Gabai. In 1814 he served as Abd of Szent-Grót and several years later, as Abd of Lashberin until his passing at a very old age. His sons were also disciples of the ”Chasam Sofer” and the ”Ketav Sofer”. Some of his innovations were published as well as his last will and testament in the compilation ”Michtav Tzava'ah”.
