בשער הספר חתימת רבי "אליקום גץ מקראקא דיין וב"י דק' פוזנן" – הגאון רבי אליקים גץ מקראקא, דיין וראש ישיבה בפוזנא. אחיהם של רבי יעקב טעמרל רבי ליב חנה'ליס. משנת ת"נ כיהן כדיין בפוזנא עד שנת תע"ה. בנו רבי מאיר מפוזנא ופילא. נכדו רבי אליקים גץ בעל "אבן שהם". חתנו רבי שלמה זלמן אוירבך מפוזנא. הדפיס באמשטרדם בשנת תע"ה את הספר "מגיני שלמה" מאת סבו רבי יהושע מקראקא, ושם הוא חותם בסוף ההקדמה "דיין ובני ישיבה דק"ק פוזנן יע"א".
