Ungvar, 1870 The Gaon Rav Aryeh Leibush Horovitz, Av Beis Din of Stanislau, Author of Harei Besamim (5607-5669) One of the greatest Poskim in Galicia of his generation. In his youth he learned from the Gaon Rav Chaim of Sanz. He is renowned in the Torah world for his series of sefarim called ”Harei Besamim”, which earned themselves a place of honor on the shelf of Rabbinical literature. He served as Rav of Stryi for 26 years and after his father's passing was called to take his place as Rav of Stanislau. In his youth was a leading disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Aryeh leibush Horowitz, Av Beit Din of Stryj. After his marriage, served as Av Beit Din of Bitshkov.
