Based on the first edition of the complete commentary of HaTur on the Torah (Zholkva, 1805) with an addition of a preface by the author from the abbreviated version of the commentary of HaTur on the Torah (Kushta, 1714). The Gaon Rabbi Dr. Azriel Hildesheimer (1820-1899) a German Rav and leader of Orthodox Jewery in Germany. He was the Rav and Rosh Yeshiva of Eisenstadt and then Berlin, founder of the Rabbinical Beis Midrash in Berlin, a leading disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Ettlinger (the Aruch LaNer). He received the title “Nasi Eretz Yisrael” for his work on behalf of Russian Jewry and the many yeshivas he established.
