The Gaon Rabbi Simcha Halevi Soloveitchik [1879-1941] - was born in Warsaw to Rabbi Yosef Dov and Esther Beila, the third wife of Rabbi Yosef Dov. Served as Mohilev great Rabbi between the years 1911 - 1924. At the same time, he gave lessons at a yeshiva in Shklov, headed by Rabbi Pesach Fruskin. In 1924 he emigrated to the United States and served as rabbi of the ”Tiferet Yisrael - Brisk People” congregation of Brisk descendants in Brooklyn, New York. He also served as head of the Rabbinical Association. Died in New York on November 16, 1941. His son, Rabbi Yosef Dov (died on Iyar 1987), served as Rabbi of Spring Valley in New York.
