Sefer Halachot Gedolot - signed by Rabbi Shaul Ehrenfeld Rabbi of Siks, and Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald of Satmar - Stamp of the Gaon Avraham Chanoch Friedman Dometz Satmar The great Gaon Rabbi Shaul Ehrenfeld of Pressburg, Rav of Szikszó , son of the daughter of Moron the Holy Chasam Sofer, who was his 'Sandek'. He was raised and studied Torah by his great uncle Moron the 'Ketav Sofer' in his Yeshiva of Pressburg. Was appointed to serve as Rav in Szikszó re[placing his brother who became Rav in Matersdorf. He attained many thousands of prodigious students. Harav Avraham Chanoch Friedman Hy”d, (1866-1945) was Rav in Satmar and the son of Harav Tzvi Yehudah Friedman — a son-in-law of the Chasam Sofer. Harav Avraham was raised in the home of the Chasam Sofer’s son, his uncle Harav Yuzpa Sofer, and subsequently studied under his uncle Harav Yehudah Greenwald, author of Zichron Yehudah. The latter appointed his nephew as a dayan in Satmar where he gained repute for his brilliant halachic rulings. Harav Avraham undertook to publish his uncle’s sefarim which were printed as Zichron Yehudah. R. Yehuda Grünwald ( 1848-1920), author of Responsa Zichron Yehuda, a leading rabbi and yeshiva dean in Hungary. An outstanding Torah scholar, disciple of the Ketav Sofer. Served as rabbi of Sobotište, Bonyhád and Satmar. His yeshiva in Satmar numbered hundreds of students, many of whom later served as rabbis and dayanim in Hungary and Romania. Staunch defender of faithful Orthodox Judaism.
