In 1924, he immigrated with his family to the Holy Land, living all his life in the Meah She'arim neighborhood, in never-ending study of the Torah. Served as Dayan of the supreme Rabbinic Beis Din. Became the son-in-law of the Jerusalemite Gaon Rabbi Aryeh Levin. Was renowned for his genius and diligence. He was daily sent Halachic questions from all over the world. Eventually, he became the greatest Posek Hador of his generation and one of the leaders of Chareidi Jewry.
