A family member of the author of Shut Chavit Yair and the Maharal of Prague and a descendant of Rabbi Itzik Brilin Av Beis Din of Manheim. Was the in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Emden. Authored twelve books including Shut Divrei Mordechai, the books of sermons Megilat Mordechai and Shirat Mordechai and more.
