Maharam Shik first Edition - Copy with long glosses by Rabbi Solomon Zalman Ehrenreich rabbi of Simleu
RAbbi Solomon Zalman b. Jacob Ehrenreich (1863-1944), rabbi of Simleul-Silvaniei. He was born in Beregovo and educated by his illustrious father and in Hungarian yeshivas. An erudite scholar and anti-Reform campaigner he wrote Lehem Shlomo (Simleul Silvaniei) several volumes, novellae and responsa to the Shulhan Arukh and several other works. R. Ehrenreich established and led a large yeshiva in Simleul Silvaniei which produced many great rabbis. He responded to halakhic inquires from many great contemporary rabbis and was considered a leader of the generation. R. Ehrenreich perished in the Holocaust.
