Letter from Rabbi Yeshaya Kleinman of Satmar; Satmar, 1928 - By order of Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald

Long letter regarding a Get written and signed in the handwriting of Rabbi Yeshaya Kleinman of Satmar

Rabbi Yeshaya Kleinman (1874 - 1938) grew up in the home of his uncle, Rabbi Yeshayale of Kerestirer and would join him on his travels to the rabbis and admorim of his generation. He studied by the Arugas Habosem and became his close disciple. He was appointed Dayan of Satmar, there he was one of the leading voices in the rabbinate. For a short while Rabbi Yeshaya served as Av Beis Din of Kivyashed, during which time the present letter was sent. While the majority of his writings were tragically lost in the war, remnants of his Torah novellae were published in Keren Yeshaya and at the end of his son-in-law's sefer, Birkas Avraham.
