Shabbat Shuva Drasha [Sermon] 26 Pages in the Holy Handwriting by the famed great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Kopel Reich, the Rav of Budapest - 1912 - Shabbat Shuva Drasha [Sermon] in the Holy Handwriting by the famed great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Kopel Reich, the Rav of Budapest - 1912 The holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Kopel Reich [1838-1929] studied Torah with his father the Gaon Kabbalist Rabbi Avraham Yechezkel Av Beis Din of Banovich and a disciple of the Chasam Sofer. Was one of the Iluyim of the Pressburg Yeshiva and was chosen by Maran the Kesav Sofer to serve as an instructor of his son, Maran the Sheves Sofer. He was a member of a group of five students who were sent to the court of the holy Rav the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. Was Rav of Budapest for 40 years and led the entire orthodox communities of Hungary. The Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld used to call him The Saba Kaddisha. After his passing, his grave attracted all those looking for salvation and mercy.
