Letter of Encouragement from Rabbi Mordechai Chaim - Rebbe Mottel Slonim
רבי מרדכי חיים קסטלניץ [תרכ"ד – תשי"ד] זכה לראות עוד את האדמו"ר הראשון מסלונים בעל ה'יסוד העבודה', בעודו ילד עלה אם אביו לארץ ישראל. הוא התגורר בטבריה והיה דיין וכונה 'רבי מוטל דיין'. לאחר פטירת האדמו"ר בעל 'בית אברהם' בשנת תרצ"ג, הוכתר בנו האדמו"ר מוהרשד"י וינברג לאדמו"ר על ידי רבי מרדכי חיים שהיה גדול החסידים, ואף כתב על כך אגרת לקהל החסידים בחו"ל. לאחר השואה בה נהרג האדמו"ר מוהרשד"י, הנודע בכינוי האדמו"ר הצעיר, התאספו חסידי סלונים ובקשו מרבי מרדכי חיים שיכהן כאדמו"ר אולם הוא סירב. בשנת תש"י ניאות לכהן בתפקיד האדמו"ר מסלונים, אך התנה שלא יקראו לו אדמו"ר.
