Handwritten Letter from Rabbi Avraham Kahana Shapira of Kovna, Author of the Dvar Avraham - Handwritten Letter from Rabbi Avraham Kahana Shapira of Kovna, Author of the Dvar Avraham Rabbi Avraham Duber Kahana Shapira (1870 - 1943) was the son of Rabbi Zalman Sender Kahana Shapira and son-in-law of the Gadol of Minsk. At the young age of thirty-five, he published part one of his sefer Dvar Avraham which was enthusiastically embraced by the Torah world. At the age of 42 he was appointed Rabbi of great city of Kovna, carrying this position until his passing in the Kovno ghetto. Dated Kovno, 1928.
