He was renowned for his holy demeanor – his devotion to prayer, connections to other tsaddikim and involvement in chessed and tzedakah. He was highly praised by other renowned tzaddikim, such as the Ahavas Yisrael of Vizhnitz, the Maharid of Belz and the Admor of Satmar, who even sent his own followers to Rabbi Shlomo, with kvittels for heavenly assistance.
