Yechezkel Sarna (1890–1969), was among the closest disciples of R. Nosson Tzvi Finkel the “Alter of Slabodka” and was the so-in-law of R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein, Rosh Yeshiva of the Slabodka Yeshiva. He had a leading role in the transfer of part of the Yeshiva from Europe to Chevron in 1925, and following the Chevron Massacre of 1929, the re-establishment of the Yeshiva in Yerusholayim. In 1934, following the passing of his father-in-law he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva where he served until his passing.
